Specifically, the AQ327L Premium EDM machine has recently won the esteemed Good Design Award for product design in the machine tool industry field, an accolade bestowed by the Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organization (JIDPO).With this award, JIDPO recognizes excellence in the area of innovation and technology. Contending products are judged according to a broad spectrum of criteria, such as making skillful use of new technology and meeting the needs of consumers. A winning design must also convey versatility and a high degree of functionality in an easily understandable way, must offer a high level of performance, and should be user friendly. Most important, it should be good value for the price and have a long use lifetime.The AQ327L Premium is based on core technology that is the cornerstone of all Sodick machines: linear motors, ceramic components, sturdy Meehanite castings, and Sodick Motion Control. Other noteworthy features include a high-speed generator, vertical drop tank, and Super Pika W fine-finishing circuit.Sodick will be showcasing the award-winning Premium machines at EuroMold 2005 in Frankfurt November 30–December 3.
